Leading business club, Home Grown, has stepped in amongst the covid crisis and created a ‘Green Shoots’ competition. Home Grown has awarded 5 founders that aim to solve sustainable issues a Home Grown membership,  business support packages worth over £100k, as well as networking and investment opportunities.

All 5 winners have forged innovative ideas that focus on positive solutions for the planet and the next generation of leaders. The winning businesses include:

  • Bendi, founded by Mandeep Soor and Benjamin Norsworthy. A sustainable Fashion Tech business helping to manage and mitigate their impacts for a sustainable future.
  • Fussy, founded by Matt Kennedy. Refillable deodorants which have a refillable case and compostable materials.
  • Vesta, founded by Charlotte Melia. A B2B2C, SaaS platform, specialising in safe, educational and active classes for children.
  • Muddy Machines, founded by Florian Richter. Aims to help farms overcome increasingly severe labour shortages by building robots that automate labour-intensive fieldwork.
  • Perci Health, founded by Kelly McCabe and Morgan Fitzsimons. A telemedicine platform to provide personalised holistic healthcare for people living with cancer.
