Virtual Health Agents to Increase Global Access to Oncology Therapies

Background

Client needed to reach a global audience of Health Care Professionals to inform and educate them about breakthrough new Oncology molecules, but with a limited sales force and with strong regulatory compliance.

The costs of hiring a scientific and medical education team in all the countries approved for distribution was cost prohibitive and busy HCPs did not have the time to see these people anyway.

A new solution was required delivered digitally by an AI agent that integrated with core systems.

Solution

Designed and developed a Virtual Health Agent, leveraging Microsoft technology (Copilot Studio, Fabric, AI Foundry) to build a multi stage agent that enabled secure and effective conversation, transcription, recommendation and metadata for audit purposes.

The agent processed approved medical education material and provided recommendations to a HCP via a virtual call solution.

Further automation occurred with the integration of governance protocols and CRM flags and checks.

Outcome

Engagement via digital channels accounted for 70% of HCP interaction and unaided awareness of the molecules increased by 4x in 12 months.
